After a 10 year old threatened to shoot his classmates, Florida sheriff Carmine Marceno was forced to handcuff the child to protect the students and teachers. Carmine joins Piers Morgan to say that handcuffing children is the last thing he wants to do, but that with the amount of shootings that happen in America every day, protection must come first. He goes on to say he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if he didn’t do that and something terrible happened. Piers adds that at 10 years old the student knows the severity of those threats, saying parents need to be more involved. Carmine agrees and says parents need to work with the police and speak to their children about the seriousness of these issues and the importance of mental health.
