Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by Russian MP Evgeny Popov and later on by BBC’s International Editor Jeremy Bowen to discuss the war between Russia and Ukraine and Evgeny’s refusal to say Russia invaded.
Piers and Evgeny disagree with how the war started and Piers brings up that he travelled to Bucharest and Kyiv and spoke to people directly in the city about the war and what they have experienced. Evgeny explains he has seen with his own eyes some of the horrors of war in the Donbas area and believes it all started with historical Ukraine aggression. The debate continues to get more and more fiery until Piers ends the interview early as Evgeny continues to deny it was a Russian invasion.
Jeremy Bowen then gives his reaction to Evgeny’s interview and points out the differences between a democracy like the UK and an autocracy like Russia.
